Massage is one of the best antidotes for stress.Reducing stress gives you more energy,improves your outlook on life and in the process,reduces your likelihood of injury and illness.Massage also enhances a person's Body Awareness.During periods of mental and emotional stress it is quite natural to get"stuck in our heads"listening to our story,our dialogue,which makes it difficult to "Be in the Present Moment".
Stress is an inevitable part of life.However,when we do not successully recognize,divert or process the stressors that affect us,our body's reaction becomes negative and goes into a phase called the "Flight or Fight Response".When massage is experienced the body creates"The Relaxation Response".This response reverses the damaging physiological effects of distress resulting in slower heart rate,lower blood pressure,better circulation to internal organs and produces a break in the accumulation of stress-related symptoms.

My massage modalities that I utilize are very eclectic.I use a variety of different techniques.What works for one person may not work for another.I am experienced in over 10 different kinds of massage.My ultimate intention is to create an atmosphere in which my client feels safe and calm so their body can experience the benefical effects of the massage.The massage should take a client on a journey of relaxation with deep breaths and calm thoughts;a path to let go of stress;a path to awareness ;a path to a more positive place; mind, body and spirit.
